Social Media is a common terminology in today’s world. There is a general understanding of its role as a communication tool. Furthermore, there is a clear acceptance on the role social media plays in our daily lives.
The rapid development of the Internet, supported by all technologies, has pushed connectivity and networking to an unprecedented scale. But does that really make it “social”? Simultaneously, social media has made it possible for everyone to influence their immediate surroundings, as well as society at large in all fields and areas.
Social media has been the tool for corporations, non-profits, and organizations to get their message across. Along the way, many challenges arise on a daily basis. For example, how can these groups and individuals use social media to tell the world about their causes? How can they mobilize people? How can they increase visibility? How can this help them progress as a company, non-profit, or just as an individual?
Social media is the vehicle to positively impact society at all levels. How we can go beyond communication and turn social media into a tool for positive impact.

Impact investment involves personal or institutional investment portfolios that are meant to support projects and ventures aimed to solve enduring problems such as: poverty, famine, water supply, global warming, unemployment, homelessness, education, etc. Any investment that could help fund environmental and social improvements on local, national or global levels is a good example. The participants shall examine priorities and long-term strategies, including the feasibility of the creation of a permanent task force or any other productive means, for effective impact investment.
